The mobile phone is one of the most common gadgets in every one’s bag or pocket. You can even find someone with two or more phones at one time! There are hundreds of mobile phone models and each one may look different and may have interesting features than the other. Some mobiles may have sleek features but may have less than interesting features to rave about. Still, other phones offer cool features but may have looks that can turn you off.
Here are some of the mobile phones that consumers have voted of as either weird or just plain ugly:
The
Vertu Signature Cobra Phone – This mobile phone was released years ago but it was remembered to be a phone with an image of a bejeweled cobra on the panel. It is not only ugly but it is quite expensive; it was designed by Frenchman Boucheron and it is made out of 2 diamonds, 2 emeralds and 439 rubies. Total cost: $310,000! Little is known about the features since most people is turned off by either the design or the totally way off price.
The
Nokia 7380 – this extremely skinny phone is one of the worst designs ever with barely a tip of a finger to touch the keys. This “fashion phone” is a part of a collection which was released in 2005. A sensitive wheel that is also used to navigate the phone similar to an iPod is found in the panel, many find this wheel a little weird to maneuver as well. Many consumers rank this as one of the worst phones but surprisingly, the Nokia collection won an award for one of the best ideas in industrial design!
The
Verizon Motorola Calgary Android Phone – This android phone looks more like a calculator rather than a latest gadget. It has the worst QWERTY pads ever with an all black body. But looking at all the other external features it seems like a sturdy gadget and even has a 3 megapixel camera, a GPS, Wi-Fi and a micoSD card slot, making it live up to the name of an android device.
An ugly
Senior Citizen Mobile Phone – This phone may look like a TV remote but everyone who has seen it would definitely label it downright ugly. It has really large buttons for numbers and the call and release buttons are extra large too. It also has a visible black and white screen. This phone maybe ugly but many seniors will really find it useful because of the readable buttons and screen. It has other functions too like radio and a unique SOS button that can dial a family member’s number for any emergency.
Old brick type phones – These phones, like the
Motorola DynaTAC has been the first commercially available phone and believe it or not some people are still using these types of phones! It is heavier than a cordless telephone with no screens plus it has an unsightly antenna too. But thanks to this phone, it completely revolutionized the concept of mobile telephony as we now know today.
