4 Most Famous Spies In History

9:16 AM Posted by Elle No comments
There is no person who hasn’t at least once peeked through the small hole on the front door, which some call a peephole, to see how a drunken neighbor in high hills staggers from the third floor. We can say that this is a form of espionage. Espionage is the most reliable way to gather information about the enemy. People who are dealing with espionage are called spies. Resources and ways they are using to obtain information are different: stalking, stealth monitoring of movement, work or other activities, delivering data and many others.

The oldest written record of espionage was found on a clay plate printed before 4.000 years, when the “secret agent” Banum, from the state of Mavi on the river Euphrates, reported to his ruler that he noticed a suspicious light signals in the neighboring enemy village. The first major written fact about intelligence service, however, has been made by Sun Tzu Wu, in China five hundred years B.C. In his art of war, the army commander wrote that the espionage is "withdrawal of the thread" and "most valuable characteristic of rulers". Who wants to rule must have the ability to see and predict events in their own country and its surroundings.

The twentieth century has demonstrated the full strength and the power of the intelligence services, and that happened in the world wars. It was a time of total espionage, when the warring states had one and only important thing to do. That was the idea to scare and intercept the opponent on his own field.

Modern remedy of communication has contributed the expansion of the spy business. Internet social networks allow peeping from the shadows and it is the dream of every spy.

Excessively dealing with other people's lives can mean the lack of its own. Man must deal with some problems and when he cannot continue doing that, and then he can at least deal with someone else's. Spying is not the solution. It is possible to discover something using espionage - but this way you will make it clear to the person that he cannot trust you and that he will need to hide what he does in the future.

However, this way of life brings some relief to the small number of people. At the moment identity is being lost and it is teleporting to another reality. So, for some people spying may have a therapeutic effect.

Who are the most famous world spies?

1.  After she divorced in 1905, Margaretha Zelle Geertruid began her career as an exotic dancer and took the stage name Mata Hari. Represented as a princess from Java, and during that period of her life, she has been photographed in scanty clothes and even naked. She associated with members of high class and become a prostitute for many high-ranking men and politicians. This led her into a good position from which she could collect secrets and important information.

2.  Casanova was born in Venice, and was known as a masher. He wrote a book The Story of my Life, which gives the best overview of his life in the 18th century.

3.  Bella Boyd was born with the name of Maria Isabella Boyd. She was a spy for the Confederacy in the American Civil War. She has operated from her father’s hotel, and gave useful information to Confederate generals.

4.  Nathan Hale was a captain in the Army during the American War of Independence. He has been considered as the first American spy. He is remembered for his dying speech before he was hanged.

Dispatcher? Who Are They?

3:21 AM Posted by Elle No comments

Personal security services are a need in these days. The skeleton a security company is built upon is easy to understand. The head is the manager and any other leadership. Next is the dispatcher and the rest of the body comes to the strong units. You might believe that the strong agents are the key of success, but actually the dispatcher is the engine of this whole process. The working process is simple.

Managers get contracts with banks, clubs, markets or various institutions for monthly bills. Most companies require small fees for every alarm as well. Once the paper work is done, it's time for installation of sensors, cameras and various connections that lead to the headquarters. Therefore, whenever something is happening after closing, or the sensors detect movements after the alarm is activated, the dispatcher is notified about it and sends the agents.

A reliable security company has agents all over the city, in various spots, in order to cover all the areas. Therefore, whenever an alarm starts, the agents should be there in no more than a few minutes. But what happens when they fail to do their job? What happens when they get there and all they see is a broken window or door and missing stuff? Something obviously went wrong, so let's check out the top mistakes a dispatcher can make.

Most dispatchers find this job quite boring. However, they enjoy it. They're actually being paid to stay and make a few phone calls once in a while. What do they do meanwhile? Obviously they don't sit straight watching the screens and waiting for alarms.

Ladies sometimes do their manicure. Why would they waste their free time, when they can do it while on work? Manicure and painting nails can go out messy if the alarm rings in the middle of it. Besides that, no one can make a phone call to the agents with fresh paint on their nails, therefore it's not quite a problem if it can wait for a couple of minutes.

What about men? Men don't have any manicure to do, but watching some TV or playing a game is always better than just sitting and watching the screens. Not to mention most dispatcher offices don't have a TV, so they have to get to another room and just hope to hear the alarm.

These common cases occur mostly because almost 85% of the alarms are not possible threats, but just power cuts or dumb mistakes like pressing the panic button without seeing it.

Smokers have a problem too. If they want to smoke, they can't do it inside, so they have to go out. Leaving all the doors open might help, but even if they hear the alarms, it's going to take a while to get to it. Besides that, if one barely gets a few alarms in a 12 hours shift, nothing is going to happen in the 5 minutes they are out, right?

Therefore, the success or the failure of personal security services companies begin from the small office of the dispatcher.

Protect The Box!

2:59 AM Posted by Elle No comments

When it comes to one’s living conditions we must observe that in all reality we all live in a box. Some boxes are much nicer than others, however our homes or apartments are really just one big box.

So what’s the big deal? Where we live is very important to all of us. We put and have our possessions in our dwelling place where we can have and use them and not someone else. Common sense would suggest to us that we need some sort of home security.

While there are many types of home security systems out there and many different ways to secure one’s home - let’s just go ahead and explore just a few.
  • Home Security – what it means to you
  • A home verses an apartment
  • Spending a lot of money or using common sense

Years ago, we all lived in much simpler times. We didn’t lock our doors, trusted people more freely and generally believed all people were cool and not out to cause us harm. Unfortunately the times have changed and we must be more aware of what and how we go about living our lives and protecting the things that we have worked for.

Home Security – what it means to you

Simply put – How secure do you need your home to be? Many factors can decide this. Your location could be a factor, whether you live in a remote place or right dab smack in the middle of a neighborhood. Do you have good neighbors, bad neighbors or no neighbors, this could determine if you need a simple alarm system or one that is a bit more complex – like one that auto dials the police in case of a break in and such. Make the determination then choose the right course of action.

A home verse an apartment

When dealing with securing one’s home, let’s start with the basics. When away, keep the doors locked and the windows closed. You wouldn’t believe how many people don’t do that and how easy you make it for someone to break in.

Having good front and back doors is ideal as well as having more than just one lock. The front, back and or side doors should have a key lock for the handle and then a deadbolt type lock as well. You should also have simple motion detector sensors for your alarm system that you set when you are asleep or away from the home.

This should give you some piece of mind as well as securing your home. However, always remember if someone really wants to break in, they will. Meaning, they will just break a window, beat down the door or use other means so be sure to have some sort of alarm system in place.

This brings us to securing an apartment. Apartments are usually smaller than a home and do not have as many access points. First floors apartments are easier to get into than an upstairs unit. The best you can do is having really good locks, two or three on the front door and window locks. A simple alarm system can also be useful.

Spending a lot of money or using common sense

If you so choose to spend a lot of money to feel secure by all means do so. However you will find that if you use just a bit of common sense, a bit of money well planed and spent, you will be able to maintain piece of mind and home security.

Being An Athlete Is Not Easy

2:28 AM Posted by Elle No comments

No coach really wants to see sports athletes harmed. But injuries remain a real possibility of sport participation. Consequently, you have to be ready to provide first-aid when injuries occur for athlete’s safety and also to safeguard any athlete against unjustified legal cases. Fortunately, coaches can institute many preventive steps to lessen the danger. Within this article, we describe things you can do to avoid injuries, first-aid and emergency reactions if injuries occur, that is within the legal duties of a coach.

It is recommended that your sports athletes must undergo a physical examination before taking his part in track. Tests must be carried out probably, since young athletes are the risky to be in the track. We also claim that you request athletes' parents or parents to sign a participation agreement form as well as an informed consent form to permit their kids to become treated just in case of the emergency.

Sports athletes have to be fit (or get healthy) in order to qualify as an athlete and as expected. They must have sufficient cardio respiratory fitness and muscular fitness excises and checking.

Cardio respiratory fitness requires the body's capability to use oxygen and fuels effectively to energy muscle contractions. As sports athletes enter better shape, their physiques needs to effective deliver more oxygen to fuel muscles and carry off carbons along with other wastes. Sometimes, track activities will need plenty of running and effort. Given that reason, teens who aren't as fit his as his/her colleagues frequently overextend in some exercises in attempting to keep up, which can lead to light-headedness, nausea, fatigue, and potential injuries. Try to understand that the athletes' goal is to participate in track activities, learn and enjoy the moment. Therefore, you have to keep your sports athletes active, mindful, and associated with every phase of practice.

Muscular fitness includes strength, energy, muscular endurance, versatility, and speed. This kind of fitness is impacted by physical maturity in addition to weight training and other kinds of training. Sports athletes will probably exhibit a comparatively number of muscular fitness. Individuals who've greater muscular fitness will have the ability to improve their speed and throw farther. They'll also sustain less muscular injuries, and then any further injuries that may occur. And just in case of injuries, recovery is faster in sports athletes with greater amounts of muscular fitness.

Two other aspects of fitness and injuries prevention would be the warm-up that is soon complimented with warming down as soon as the activities end. Although youthful physiques are usually very limber, they are able to become tight if there is a lack of exercise. A nice and well planned exercise should address each group of muscles and really should elevate the heartbeat when preparing for strenuous activity. Sports athletes should warm-up for 5-10 minutes using a mix of light running, easy jumping, which can help loosen tractions in the muscles. As for athletes with low resistance, an easy jog or walk is sure a big help. Then stretch for five minutes to prevent tight muscles from stiffening prior to the next practice or competition.

10 Myths For Safe Surfing

2:25 AM Posted by Elle No comments

Personal security services don't only refer to one's safety in real life, but also to the safety on the Internet. Experts say that the security level assured by specialized products grew in the last years. Also, webmasters have became more cautious and the bad boys concentrate mostly on social networks like Facebook or Hi5. For a regular user, the risks of surfing the Web might not be as high as for a company. Therefore, experts in this domain launched 10 myths for safe surfing in a company.

The main enemies are kids. This is totally false. The enemy doesn't have a particular age and most web criminals do their job for one general reason - money. Only in September, 2010, 100 hackers from USA, UK and Ukraine were arrested. With the help of the Zeus trojan, they managed to get over $100 million. On the other side, the 17 years old Australian who hacked Twitter and redirected all the users to adult web sites did this job only for fun.

An updated antivirus will keep the company's computers clean. This is false again. A strong anti virus will deal about 25-50% of the threatenings. The rest is free.

Many directors want to get only Apple computers, thinking they are safe. It is true that a company that doesn't have Mac computers is has more chances to be attacked by hackers, but it is also true the fact that the more companies get Mac computers, the bigger the hackers' interest will be.

Some web sites can be trusted, it's true. But this isn't the biggest problem. The danger migrated from e-mails to social networks. Facebook is often given as a strong example. Users forget about security on such web sites, therefore they become vulnerable.

Games consoles are safe. Or not. Many directors install such devices in the recreational rooms, for their employees. They refuse to understand they're actually a hole in the security system.

The same goes for smartphones. The stronger they become, the closer they get to the computers. People use Internet through them and just like hackers attack computers, they go for smartphones as well. There's absolutely no difference.

About 48% of the security problems in companies are caused by employees. This is the opposite of what managers believe, that problems come from outside.

Strong passwords are not always a good remedy. A strong password is just as useless as a weak one, if they're used for more accounts. Most likely, you'll notice that not just your Facebook account was hacked. Therefore, aim for unique passwords for each of your accounts.

Apple sold over 3 million iPads, while BlackBerry and Samsung are planning to launch such devices in the close future as well. Directors believe they don't represent a danger when it comes to security. But as they run the same operating systems as smartphones, they should think again.

Last, but not least and maybe the most important, the strongest myth for safe surfing comes to a good training service for all the employees. It is good indeed to make sure every employee knows the risks, but the danger is improving so fast that it is almost impossible to keep up to it.

Things become difficult for managers and their employees, therefore the 10 myths for safe surfing are a heads-up statement they need to take in consideration whenever they think about personal security services.
